Dr. Cheng Ming Yu

About Me

 

Cheng Ming Yu graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia with a BSc degree (Resource Economics) in 1996 and a PhD in 1999.  Subsequently, she joined Multimedia University (MMU) and served the university until August 2010.  In September 2010, she joined Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman as a Professor in the Faculty of Accountancy and Management. 

She works on a number of projects related to economics development, especially on social capital, globalization, human capital development and competitiveness studies.  She was a recipient of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Fellowship (JSPS) in 2002, a Fulbright Visiting Scholar (2004 – 2005) and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (2007 - 2008).
